Youth in Indian state of Mato Grosso, creates the association at its first meeting
Mental health and a source of income were the key topics discussed by the representatives of the seven regions of the state
For the strength of youth, an indian from Mato Grosso, took control of the territory Umutina, Barra do Bugres, during their first meeting, which took place from the 12th to 15th of September. Under the theme ‘Uniting the know-how, Reinforcing the Tradition and the Future of Our world’, around 200 young people from different nations came together to discuss key issues relevant to their lives and their communities.

Education, health, sustainability, property rights, and climate change are just a few of the topics discussed at the table, which had the participation of speakers of indigenous people. In each subject, the young people shared their experiences, projects and pointed out the solutions for building a better world in which all peoples to have a voice and a role.
“It’s very important in these discussions, to listen to the different situations that people go through, and what do we need to improve on. I am confident that this meeting will be scheduled in the history of the indigenous people of Mato Grosso state,” he said Kauwe Zunizakae of the people Haliti-Paresi.
