Consulting for research on the participation of the indigenous peoples and traditional communities, in the political climate in the state of Mato Grosso

The Operation in the Amazon’s Native (OPAN) is hiring an outside consulting firm that specializes in the research on the participation of the indigenous peoples and traditional communities in the planning and implementation of climate policies in the state of Mato Grosso.

The study aims to analyze the participation of these groups in the Forum, Mato Grosso do sul Change climate change Climate change (FMMC) for the period from 2009 to 2025, by identifying its objectives, functioning, and the frequency and quality of participation of the civil society, in addition to the training and to examine specifically the participation of the indigenous peoples and traditional communities.
You can take part in the selection process to a legal entity which has the experience of more than three years in the field of public policy on climate change and social control.

Registration is open from now until the 10th of march, in the year 2025. All the interested candidates are asked to submit, by means of the digital into the e-mail maite@amazonianativa.org.br a document containing a proposal of a price, for the provision of services for the implementation of the activities proposed in this terms of reference, together with a copy of your cv, and legal documents of the company (company tax ID and a birth Certificate in the negative).

The activities of the consultancy:

  • Preparation of work plan;
  • The meeting for the joint development of a roadmap for the research;
  • Conduct desk research, with agendas and minutes of the meetings of the FMMC;
  • The preparation of the technical report, with an analysis of the participation of indigenous peoples and traditional communities;
  • The presentation of the versions of the preliminary and final report to the team, the organization and its partners.

Expected outputs:

  • Detailed work plan;
  • The first version of the technical report, with the partial results of the research;
  • The final version of the technical report with all the information and analysis required.

Schedule:

  • The term of the agreement, will be the 17th of march, in the year 2025, on the 15th of July, in the year 2025.

The research aims to provide support for the improvement of the FMMC, ensuring the participation and representation of indigenous people and traditional communities in the discussions and decision-making on climate policy in the state of Mato Grosso.
