The Operation in the Amazon’s Native (OPAN) has opened up a query to select a consulting firm that specializes in the technical analysis of the different approaches and strategies in trading and businesses looking to install the designs of the carbon in the lands of the indigenous, in the state of Mato Grosso.
The advice you will need to analyze their business practices, negotiating contracts for carbon sequestration projects in the indigenous areas, with a focus on the protection of the rights of indigenous peoples and other traditional communities.
Planned activities
- A survey of the efforts of project-based carbon credits in the state of Mato Grosso.
- A comparative analysis of the practices of negotiation and contract.
- The preparation of a final report with recommendations for the safeguarding of the rights of indigenous peoples.
- Implementation of the workshop on the training of the indigenous peoples of the subject.
Expected outputs:
- Detailed work plan.
- A report on the working of the office of education.
- The report of the training workshop.
- Final technical report, with an analysis and recommendations.
Scheduling and payment
- The agreement will take effect from the 31st of march to the 31st of July, in the year 2025.
- All payments are to be made in four installments, subject to the submission and approval of their products.
Requirements
- Training-in-Law.
- Experience in Human Rights, environmental issues, carbon markets, and the rights of indigenous peoples.
