Cacique (chief) Raoni is the award-winning the audience in the ATL-MATT.

Camp-Land of the Free-of-Mato Grosso (ATL-M), which was held from 3 to 5 April and was completed with the award of the cacique (chief) Raoni Metuktire, one of the most respected leaders of our time. He was awarded the Prize in the State of Human Rights, Father Joseph, and Ten Cate, and was recognized by the president of the Legislative Assembly of the state of Mato Grosso, for her ongoing struggle for the defense of the indigenous peoples and the protection of the environment.

“The Cacique (chief) Raoni dedicated, and dedicated his life to the defense of the Amazon, to the protection of the indigenous peoples, of the defence of human rights, the protection of the rights that go beyond the rights of human beings”, he said words to the statement by the deputy Lúdio Cabral, which is responsible for the promotion of the audience in the ATL.

For health care, the Cacique (chief) Raoni was not present in the ATL, and the award was accepted by his daughter, Kokonan Metuktire. “My father, ever since he was young, has been fighting for the rights of indigenous peoples, the rights of all indigenous peoples. I’m so happy to be receiving this award, and I thank you very much from the heart, and bring this award to my father.”

For the ATL-MT, and indigenous peoples from all regions that have been put together featuring the violations, and claimed the public policies to ensure their rights to health, education for indigenous people, the economy, and in particular the law of the land. After the completion of the stage of the state, representatives of the people will follow him to the ATL, which turns 20 years old in 2024.
