The researchers and the institutions of various countries that have also joined forces to address issues such as sustainable development, conservation and social inclusion in the region is the amazon. The fruits of this collaboration are to be compiled into the book “Dialogues in Amazon’s contributions to the debate on sustainability, and social inclusion”, which was published by the São Paulo School of Advanced Science (ESPCA) – Amazon region, Sustainable and more Inclusive , and was launched during a ceremony in the virtual broadcast channel of the Agency Fapesp, on the last day of the 14th of November, with the participation of a number of authors.
With the publication in conjunction with the 88-doctoral students and post-doctoral students, all engaged in research in the Amazon, 60% of brazilians, and 40% of the countries in the amazon such as Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, guyana, Suriname, Venezuela, and in the extra-amazonian such as Guatemala, Mexico, and the United States, Italy, and the Netherlands. The book highlights the importance of inclusion, collaboration, and interdisciplinary integration of knowledge in order to face the complex challenges in the amazon region.
The book, which is a result of the ESPCA – Amazon region that is Sustainable and Inclusive, it is a result of a joint effort by the research foundation, Fapesp to look at and focus efforts on the search for the amazon region, and seeking to engage stakeholders and institutions in the region. In this step, it is of utmost importance because I believe that the solutions to the challenges of the Amazon are Amazon reviews and Gustavo Silveira, it was the technical coordinator of the Operation in the Amazon’s Native (OPAN), and a member of the organizing committee, and the speaker of the ESPCA.
The importance of local governance
Among the subjects addressed in the publication, we highlight the need to strengthen and enhance local governance on the use of natural resources, a recognized strategy for the conservation of biodiversity and the promotion of a sustainable economy in the region is the amazon.
